K.R.U. is a 501(c)(3) organization that empowers the youth through education, demonstration and application.
Knowledge, Rhythm and Understanding (K.R.U.) is an educational initiative that empowers the youth by teaching them the four core elements of Hip Hop through peace, love and having fun and to help them express themselves in a positive manner that will help them develop mentally, physically, emotionally and financially.
K.R.U. also has educational programs designed to bring awareness to the historical aspects of hip hop culture.

Hip Hop Education
Our goal is to instill in today’s youth an appreciation and understanding for the art and music for which they love (hip hop) through education, demonstration and application.
Hip Hop Foundations
We educate children and teens on using Hip Hop to express themselves using the 4 core elements that include: MC, DJ, breakdance and graffiti arts. Our curriculum covers these 4 elements through interactive educational workshops.

Summer and After School Programs
KRU partners with schools, non-profits, art schools and community organizations to offer summer educational programs for children and teens. We offer music education, Hip Hop history foundations, creative rhyme expression activities and drumming. Contact us to learn more about bringing our educational programs to your organization.
